We welcome our hunters to enjoy our brand-new lodge located on the Pamir River situated in the historic Wakhan Corridor. We are the partner in this region and utilize our local guide teams that have hunted sheep and ibex in these mountains for several decades. Conservation of our wildlife, hunter experience and trophy quality are at the forefront of every planning detail for the sheep and ibex hunts we invite our hunters to enjoy.
Travel to Tajikistan:
Hunters with an American passport do not require a visa for travel to Tajikistan at least 30 days prior to departure for your hunt. Hunters from countries other than the United States must confirm visa requirements withtheir local authorities. A Dispatch Hunts staff member will ensure all visas and permits are in place prior to departure. Any firearms will need to be accounted for with the hunter’s airline and attached to the itinerary in the system of all airlines on the itinerary of the hunter. We strongly recommend booking with PWP Travel on Turkish Airlines unless otherwise recommended by PWP Travel. Hunters may bring up to 100 rounds of ammunition.
Arrival airport: Dushanbe (DYU) Hunting area: Pamir Mountains, Wakhan Valley Hunters per group: 1-4 Hunt duration: 5-8 days hunting plus travel to and from hunt area.
Example schedule:
Day 1 – Arrive Dushanbe, rest if needed, drive 12 hours to Khorog, stay the night in hunter’s hotel
Day 2 – Drive 6 hours from Khorog to luxury lodge, gear prep, acclimatization, rifle zero
Day 3-8 – Hunt
Day 9 – Drive back to Khorog, stay the night in hotel
Day 10 – Drive back to Dushanbe, 1-night stay in hotel
Day 11 – Fly home
Hunters coming to Tajikistan want to make sure are in good physical condition for hiking steep hills and mountains at altitudes between 14,000-16,000 feet. The lodge is at 12,000 feet. The hunt is conducted by spot and stalk. We do not shoot from a vehicle. Medications such as Diamox are recommended to avoid and treat altitude sickness.
