The Blandford is the urial of the Sindh ibex country, a genuinely separate subspecies from the Afghan urial of the Sulaiman Range further north. This is classic spot-and-stalk hunting in dry, broken hill country below 3,000 feet, run out of comfortable Karachi hotels with government-licensed guides handling every permit, transfer and formality. Second hunt with Dispatch and the Blanford Urial trip did not disappoint. Sindh & Baluchistan is no joke — physically demanding — but the camp, the food and the guiding were all first class. Tagged out on a great animal and made memories that'll last forever.
