Primary Areas: Gilgit-Baltistan (Hunza / Gojal, Skardu region)
Official Season (GB): Nov 1 – Apr 31
Best Periods: Late November – mid-January (rut) and late March–April (better weather/glassing)
Altitude: 3,500 – 5,500 m (11,500 – 18,000 ft)
Trip Length: 10 days (Islamabad → Islamabad)
Hunting Style: Spot-and-stalk in steep alpine terrain; strong mountain fitness recommended.

Itinerary (10 Days)

Day 1:

Arrive Islamabad, VIP meet & firearm clearance; overnight.

Day 2:

Fly to Gilgit or Skardu (depending on permit/area); ground transfer toward hunting valley.

Day 3

Final drive/trek to camp, acclimatization, glassing.

Days 4 - 8:

Five full hunting days for Blue Sheep (spot-and-stalk).

Day 8 (Eve):

Return to roadhead / town as conditions allow.

Day 9:

Fly back to Islamabad; overnight.

Day 10:

International departure.

Booking Notes

  • Permits are quota-based and issued annually by Gilgit-Baltistan Wildlife Department. Early booking is critical to secure availability.
  • Best hunting is during rut (Nov–Jan) and in spring (Mar–Apr) when visibility and movement patterns are favorable.
